This is by far Tool's best track they have written. A masterpiece is the only way to describe it. It show's the bands true musical talent and Maynard's lyrics have such a strong meaning. The prominent bass line defines Justin Chancellor's "simple yet elegant" style he has created over the years. The small intricacies in this song bring Tool to a new high in my opinion, like Schism or Vicarious, however in a more simple manner. To sum it up in one word: Brilliant.

This is my co-favorite with 46 & 2, but I lean toward The Pot because of the album it's on. As a huge Beatles fan (yes, I'm fairly old), Abbey Road was always my favorite album due to the flow of the songs. 10,000 days is my new favorite album. I love albums that are a "must listen from start to finish", not on shuffle or skipping over songs, and this one feels like the pinnacle of the "full album experience". When I first heard the beginning of this song I didn't know what to think. But it was tool, so of coarse I had to finish it to see what would come at the end. That amazing riff was worth it. This song builds up to something purely tool and there is nothing better in my opinion.
