Because he is the prophet for not only muslims but for all man kind and he is the man mostly followed by the most number of peoples in the world. There's so much that could be said about this amazing man, none of which I can properly and eloquently describe. The prophet Muhammad's life was the hardest life that anyone will ever endure, a life which no one but him could bear to live. As a child, he lost both his parents and witnessed the terrible ways the people around him lived their lives. He saw his enemy wrip the body of his uncle and chew his internal organs. He, most beloved to God, could've wished ill on his enemies who constantly pursued him. He deserves no1 spot .Well for starters his religion existed less time than Christianity and the margin by the way the two is little and as time goes on with it's rate of acceptance and still being the fastest growing religion it's just a matter of time .As a Muslim it is obligated to love and respect respect Jesus but I will say I'm not happy how other religion talk down on Muhammad ,well you can anything you wish to say but the truth will still remain the truth. Despite his uncles, many of his family torturing him mentally and physically because he followed Islam, he never seeked revenge, he never cursed them. He was a man of peace. I Love Jesus (Isa pbuh) a lot, I love all the prophets including Adam, Joseph, Abraham, Noah and every other prophets (Peace be upon them all). But Prophet Muhammad pbuh till his last breath was worried, cried and prayed for all of us today. I can swear theres no match to his character in any period of time.
