Rockstar Games almost never disappoints people. Grand Theft Auto is obviously their big-selling title and flagship franchise, but they've also released other good quality titles like Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne, Bully, Manhunt, and quite strangely enough, Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis. They started in 1997 when they worked with DMA Design (now Rockstar North) to release a game known as Grand Theft Auto (originally known as Race'N'Chase). The game was a massive commercial success and around the time of the release of Grand Theft Auto III, Rockstar Games purchased DMA Design (at the time called DMA Design Limited) and rebranded them as Rockstar North. They then noticed Red Dead Revolver was canned by Capcom because Angel Studios couldn't get the game released. In hopes to save the game, they bought the studio and rebranded them as Rockstar San Diego.
