Okay I agree all the other shows are excellent but trust me How I Met Your Mother is the best amongst all it's because it has everything comedy, romance, friendship, love lessons, life lessons, philosophy, etc. It teaches you how to live your life how to deal with your life! It has taught me a lot in this 9 seasons of How I Met Your Mother. I've watched the whole series like more then 5 times but, still if you ask me whether I feel bored to watch the same thing again, my answer will be NO! Watch it you'll understand the greatness of this sitcom!

This is one of those shows I overlooked and used to talk bad about, but once I started watching I got caught up with the the contrast comedy-drama (much like Scrubs) but the reason this is higher it's because it has such a great connection with my life, personality when it comes to love and relationships, and also because of the writers outstanding work on twists, flashbacks, so well planed/written, etc... Yep, I enjoy both South Park and How I Met Your Mother, problem? - DontTouchMyPogoStick

Hands down the best T.V. show ever. From its comedic casting to its awesome portrayal of characters and flashbacks, they really put a great deal of effort to make you feel like part of the gang. I really like the balance between making you laugh and having sympathy for the characters. Only hitch is the ending, though they were hinting it since the very start.

The earlier seasons left me clenching my stomach the entire time but the very last season was not good at all... They should not have had the wedding for an entire season... And the final episode was terrible... But if I am not looking at the last season then I can certainly say this deserves a higher spot than 9

I don't know how to put it but the comedy, romance and emotions just balance each other out... How do they even make such a great series? I mean its insane and on the otherhand legen wait for it... Dary!

I used to love the show while it was airing and I'm pretty sure I'll remember some of the jokes and the characters for many many years...the only major disappointment was the ending...it soured my enjoyment of the show so much I'd rather pretend the alternate ending that's on YouTube is the real one.
