F.Y.I. the slave trade has existed for tens of thousands of years not just 400 and not just to African peoples. The Romans alone enslaved peoples from every nationality and today in some small places slavery still exists in the form of sex slaves and serfs. Yes, America didn't contribute anything good in that department by continuing to use slaves until the civil war, but it didn't start with Americans and sadly didn't end with the abolishment of slavery. Because of the billions of people throughout time enslaved and the fact that almost everyone living today can trace their roots back far enough to where someone in their family was a slave, I think slavery is the worst act brought onto mankind.

The disregard of the slave trade is why the large majority of black people are still viewed as inferior today. 400+ years of physical, emotional and psychological abuse is engraved in the DNA of most of today's people whose ancestors endured slavery, not to mention the millions who were murdered or committed suicide. The world today is still built on the inferiority of coloured people and until we show some understanding of the consequences of slavery, we will continue to endure hell on earth.

Rich black people sold poor black people to the Brits then the Brits sold them to America. As well as that, the Asians and Irish were included in the slave trade. Though there were less Irish slaves, due to their low population, when you include the other things that happened to Ireland at the time and the things they had to recover from, the Irish suffered the worst out of everyone. It wasn't that the whites stole the blacks, like we've all been taught at school. Neither was it that the blacks were the only people who were slaves. Nor that only white people had slaves (lots of African Americans had them too). I've been taught that it was that way and it made me angry when I knew the obvious yet hidden truth. The truth, which I'm telling you, is now everywhere on the internet and I'm glad of it. Stupid BLM forcing schools to lie about such a matter so students don't get offended by the truth and the group gets more members. Search it up using websites that haven't been infected by BLM (which aren't hard to find) and you will learn.Besides, black people are NOT inferior. They are actually very much equal. However, people just don't like you guys very much (actually, it's many of us fearing you guys) because of Black Lives Matter movements which are unnecessary, time consuming, causing lots of fear and stopping people from going to work on the streets that the movements are on. Just because some dumb white asses decided to be lazy and use people doesn't mean that all white people did it. I just can't believe that these people were treated as if they weren't even human, just because of the colour of their skin. It should be higher on the list. I'm not sure on the numbers, but I believe that more died in the Holocaust, so that should be number one, and this number 2.

Slavery should absolutely be #1. The fact that slavery is not considered as bad as the crucifixion of Jesus, the sinking of the titanic, and 9/11 is astonishing and disgusting. Even the fact that it is below the Holocaust is startling. The salve trade lasted for hundreds of years and the middle passage alone was comparable to the holocaust. The reason why people are more sympathetic to holocaust victims is blatantly because they were middle class white people. (the holocaust was undoubtedly terrible also)

The slave trade definitely should be either 1 or 2 considering we (Black Americans) are still suffering the consequences of slavery today. Black Americans continue to deal with systematic oppression, social injustice, race disparity, etc. I am sad to see that the slave trade is so far on this list...seems that there is still a lack of empathy and understanding of what happened and why as well as value placed on the life of those of us with brown skin.
