    This was a hard one. I've owned allot of motorcycles in my life including Hondas, Yamahas, Husqvarna, KTM/Penton, Suzuki and have rode several other brands. Off all the brands, two keep bubbling to the top and that is Kawasaki and Yamaha. Never had a lick of problems with any of them and that incudes models from the early 70s to recent bikes. The only reason I voted Kawasaki over Yamaha is that I've owned more of them, but both are outstanding motorcycles. Now if I had to pick my least favorite of the bunch that I have owned it would be a tie between Harley and Honda. Harleys are not my style. Great for puttering around town and, if you have money to burn, their touring bikes are okay, but I'd rather have three bikes for the money that did several things great than one that only could do one or two. Hondas... well I may just be unlucky, but they have been by far the least reliable brand I have owned and one of the most expensive to fix.

    I've rode for 40+ years and hands down Kawasaki is the brand I always go to 1st. its not only they are the epitome of performance they also are undoubtedly the the most reliable bikes on the road. I had a 77 kz650 that I drag raced for years and never had a break down. I currently own a concours 14 with 80k miles on it and it runs just as good as it did day 1, and its never had a mechanical breakdown, I just inherited a 76 kz 900 and after 30 years of sitting in a garage I've cleaned the tank and carbs and the bike started and is running with no problems...started 1st try after all this time...what more can be said.

    Great bikes with great motors...of course its Japanese so what would you expect. I ride a Kawasaki Concours C14 and it currently has 53,000 miles on it and I ride an average of 15,000 mi. per year. Nothing done except normal maintenance so far but maintenance that requires removing plastics can be a pain until you get used to removal. I would be surprised if I have a problem prior to 150,000 miles since I know of others with over 200,000 without any problems. I care for my bikes and over maintain them so I'm liking my odds.

    Bullet proof engines, undeniable performance...the list goes on. Lets not mention world superbike championships 3 years and running, or fastest motorcycle with H2 and H2r, lets factor in the H2 sx hyper sport touring, previous reigning award winning ZX4r and the Concours 14, or in the dirt...the best moto company ever. I personally own a C14 with over 140,000 miles on it with only one mechanical failure (front wheel bearings)...how can anyone argue with all this? Silence to all of the others...Period

    Ive bought a few really worn down left to rot Kawasakis and managed to bring them back to life and ride them as hard as you would a knew one. Never once have I been left stranded or had any difficulty blasting through canyons. They make incredible sport bikes and super sports that are amazing commuters and canyon blasters. But really I think when it comes to the big 4 your choosing which one feels or looks the best to you.

    Kawasaki is the dominant motorcycle company for impeccable performance, who can argue with the entire ZX line of bikes. The Concours 14 is king of sport touring and the Vulcan line is also top notch. You cannot even begin to compare the performance of the H2R and H2's with any other bikes. Team Kawasaki has domnated the world superbike circuit for the past 3 years straight an the Isle of Man TT has had Kawasakis in the top 3 every year for some time now. Their engines are bullet proof.

    Honda may well be #1 based on sales and reputation. Yamaha not so much. I would rate them!. Honda, 2. Kawasaki and 3. Yamaha. Kawasaki has and continues to produce the fastest most powerful bikes beating out the Haybusa when it introduced the ZX-12R. It's a solid 1 Honda and 2 Kawasaki at the top. The writer here "almost" got it right.

    Tough built. Cool, and the longevity you'd expect this from a 120 year old company that builds ships,aircraft,trains, power station generators and bridges the list goes on...The bikes are just fun activity for them,though the Best made of all the four Japanese manufactures. I should know I've owned models from all four. Honda build the weakest engines of all, I blew up the engine of my CB400f!

    Kawasaki is #1...google the technology that went into the H2R, and be silenced...100% KHI engineering..from the engine dept. to the turbine dept and so on...Try and argue with the ZX14 or the fact that the ZX10 has dominated world superbike for several years now, then lets not forget the Concours 14 taking # 1 in the sport touring class 4 straight years. Then lets talk about a bike that is 40 plus years old and still will not be outdone by modern 600cc class super sport bikes (KZ1000). How about the widow maker. and last but not least the entire Vulcan class of bikes...awards, awards, awards.
