Mongolia only had to fight scattered countries not really working together if he had to face someone that had a professional army that was trained rigorously and extremely disciplined he would have failed, but there just wasn't a power strong enough to stand to him, if he had came up against a professional army heck maybe even the British, french, or HRE but he never got that far, that's why I put Rome over Mongolia they faced off against much more professional armies and bigger countries and came up on top and if they had went head to head against Genghis they would have won the Legions were way to disciplined and trained for Mongolia to win. - ThePursuer78
