What about your house burning on fire? I'm NOT saying this is the scariest thing, but it is the scariest thing that ever happened to me. It happened to me in Feb of 2018. A house two doors down from me was on fire (I live in a townhouse, so all the houses are connected), and it spread to the house right next door, and then my roof was smoking. But my house didn't go on fire, but I was very scared because I thought my house might burn down. I hadn't gotten my diary or my books or my clothes...

My second fear would be the ocean but at least you could have a quick death but still would be horrifying!

You're heavily restricted from movement, there is only little oxygen reserved with you, your screams will not be heard from six feet under and worst of all, you will eventually die in the slowest and painful ways; either from pure starvation or being eaten alive by the vermin and insects that make their way into your vicinity. This is by far, the scariest thing ever and deserves every right to be at number 1.

What else is more terrifying than darkness, the smell of your sweat and possibly blood (don't go down without a fight) and dying from lack of oxygen plus blaming yourself because you just had to breath. Better learn some kill bill s! @t.
