I'd like to remind people that this anthem is based on a British pub tune and its lyrics are about a war. Where is the peace? The love?I read through the comments and conclude that the only reason this song is considered good is because there are many many Americans who voted for their own based on emotional attachments which unfortunately makes this list incredibly biased. The irony is that you have so many beautiful songs about your country and this is what you choose as an anthem. Geez.

The anthem has so much history to it... It's so revolutionary. The anthem is really old, it makes you think of the country... It gives you an idea of how we won our freedom.
