Royals is better than most pop songs by a wide margin (the topic it's about- opulence and its irrelevance- has a lot of actual meaning), it's definitely one of her worst songs. Compared to her other better songs, this is way overrated. Ribs, 400 Lux, and pretty much every song on Pure Heroine is better, and most songs from Melodrama are, too. By no means is it bad, but it's simply does not deserve the credit it's giventures compared to her other songs

I don't understand why everyone is all like " ROYALS IS LIKE MY FAVORITE SONG" and how it's even "real music." Like come on there is way better songs too. This didn't even deserve to be #1. Same with Roar.

This song is almost tuneless, lacks harmony and melody within it's main instrumentation and is racist and hypocritical. Did not deserve any Grammy award, does not deserve over 200 million views on YouTube and overall, does not deserve all the hype it gets.By the way, on the Stairway To Heaven comment, I mixed up the band and song. I was meant to put "Taurus" by Spirit. Sorry.
