Coldplay should at least be in the top five. The creative, beautiful melodies that have calming qualities are now, in this darn decade, unique to Coldplay. The first time I heard Viva la Vida, the boring car trip suddenly wasn't so boring. And Paradise. I was literally in paradise when this song started playing. There are many, many more songs of theirs that I love, but these ones made my childhood so worth remembering.

Notice how I didn't include viva la vida? Or hymn for the weekend? One song by them they I think is incredibly underrated is twisted logic. It makes you think so much and it is so clever. Some other bands I would point out if you like Coldplay are bastille, kodaline, Keane, snow patrol, arcade fire, U2 and blossoms.

Hands down consistently the best songs of any band ever. Coldplay could ride their whole career offa one song, any song, throw all the songs in a bag, shake it up, pick one, it can hold it's own weight. The emotions the musicality the truth the dynamic the instruments the flow the feeling the originality the creativity the understanding it's just, they are unmatched and they are from the soul.

Their sound has diluted a lot in recent years which is why they are not as highly regarded as they should be. Their earlier work is some of the best music ever written (yellow, sparks, the scientist etc.) and it baffles me how this amazing band isn't higher on the list

I cannot fault this band. Four down to earth, creative, talented and humble guys who make amazing and diverse tracks that have beautiful lyrics and kick-ass riffs. I know every word of Viva La Vida and I can't help belting it out every time it comes on the radio. Chris, Johnny, Will and Guy, I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!

They should be a lot lower. Just another stupid band who tries to be rock, but their songs end up getting played on mainstream pop radio stations. They arent anything compared to the classic rock legends that are thankfully higher than them. Besides, their singer sucks, he sounds like an old Mexican man. And if I ever hear Something Just Like This on the radio again... I swear to god...
