AC/DC are probably the worst and most overrated band ever. I have listened to all of their 15 albums in hope of finding a good, different song, but unfortunately nope. Every song is based around a few power chords, lyrics about girls, partying, and rock n roll (seriously, who sings about the genre of music they're making? ), and, well, nothing else. Second, Angus Young is the most overrated guitarist ever. Everyone hails him as a guitar god when all he employs is power chords and solos made of scales. Third, both Bon and Brian sound like dying cows high on LSD. Instead of hailing them as "the best that classic rock can get", listen to real classic rock bands like the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, etc.

Oh you said you HATE it when people sing about their genre of music. You said you like Led Zeppelin RIGHT!? AND HOW MANY IS A FEW POWER CHORDS?! LITERALLY, EVERYONE MAKES THEIR SOLOS OUT OF SCALES. WHY DO YOU THINK WHEN YOU START PLAYING GUITAR FOR THE FIRST TIME YOUR "teacher" RECOMMENDS PRACTICE SCALES SO MUCH. BECAUSE THEIR USED SO MUCH IN SOLOS! NOTHING BY THE BEATLES OR BY PINK FLOYD IS HARD! AND LED ZEPPELIN ISN'T ALL THAT HARD EITHER. AND ITS NOT LIKE ROBERT PLANT SOUNDS LIKE HE'S HAVING AN ORGASM ON STAGE NOO HE DEFINITELY DOESN'T LIKE THAT *wink*. Roger Waters voice cracks all the time during rehearsals AND on stage. NEITHER, PAUL MCCARTNEY OR JOHN LENNON'S VOCALS ARE UNIQUE WHATSOEVER PRETTY MUCH ANYONE COULD WALK UP ON STAGE AND SING SOMETHING BY THE BEATLES AND BE APPLAUDED. OH AND GUESS WHAT AC/DC HAS SIXTEEN ALBUMS BUD. Malcom Young had one of the greatest "ear" of ALL TIME. He knew what sounded good AND SO DID ANGUS YOUNG. DO ANY OF AC/DC'S MAIN RIFFS SOUND GOOD? Yes. Why.Because they are good so shut your mouth and admit it. - BlackIce

I can't say that I know a lot about the story of the group, but I feel like they didn't evolve at all during their carrer. Doing the same things over and over again since the beggining. They do songs that are not original, or intelligent, that sound emotionless, that is not even hard to play, except for some guitare solos, and, most important, THAT ALL SOUND THE SAME. To me, AC/DC's songs are like a 80's action movie with schwarzenneger or or Bruce Willis or Stallone : you know it's not great, that it is overrated, but when you headr it, you still listen to it ans tell to yourself : "Nice", because its catchy ans its an earworm.

Lets get one thing straight MOST of their songs are about the same thing but not all. Lets also not forget a lot of songwriters also write about the same thing. Paul McCartney almost always writes about being in love or breaking up. Pete Townshend usually writes about a troubled young man. It doesn't make them bad songwriters, it just shows that that's what's easiest for them to write about. They play to their strengths.

I don't know how to reply, but I just want to say to the guy that said AC/DC are the worst band ever (to the secind comment about the band):Overrated? Yes. Worst? No.It's alright if you think AC/DC are horrible, but saying they're the worst band ever is a serious overstatement!There are many bands I prefer over AC/DC (I prefer bands such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles over AC/DC) but AC/DC aren't even close to the worst band ever!

4-5 Power chords, a basic blues drum beat, and a guy screaming about blood, sex, and drugs = every AC/DC song. Every song is completely devoid of originality and creativity, it's just the same old formula they use over and over again. Basically if you've heard one, you've heard them all. How on EARTH are they so low on this list, below Rush? Are you kidding me?
