Screw Bon Jovi. They're pretty much the One Direction of the 80s. They constantly get called "legends" just because they're old, which is NOWHERE NEAR true. "Livin' on a Prayer" is a horrendously cheesy hair metal anthem about some weird story that makes no sense, and also has the most unnecessary guitar solo I've ever heard. Jon Bon Jovi is an AWFUL singer, and he constantly looks and sounds like he wants to vomit. "Always" is just a broken, cheesy break-up song about someone that HE probably cheated on. "It's My Life" is yet another annoying anthem about nothing. Anyways, come at me, senior citizens with your poorly-spelled comebacks.

This is a terrible comparison! I don't care how many idiots liked this. They are underrated if anything, but they got in the hall of fame, unlike One Direction ever will. People who don't like them don't know much about them. Period. Sure they are no rolling stones, but in this generation they reached heights unlike other bands. Now Nirvana is so overrated. All that jerk did was scream over the mic and criticize other bands. Good they made top 10! - MC1989

And Jon, though his register has lowered, is a hell of a singer, performer, and yes, hot. Now that's a valid statement. Plus, they just got inducted I to US hall of fame, One direction and their corny manufactured asses will never het that. Horrible band. The Madonna of hair metal bands. They also proved that success in the music industry often depends on how badly you want it and what type of persona you present, not actual talent. I don't believe their songs could be any more simplistic. How they aren't numbers 1 through 5 on this list is baffling. Perhaps people realize they are 4th rate talent and eminently forgettable so they simply did not vote for them. It's the only thing I can think of.

I don't think they're overrated! Unless people really do call them the best band of all time. I've never heard people say that, but if they do, yeah, that's going a bit far. Bon Jovi is good. They're not THAT good.
