In her mind she was being loyal, but in reality, not so much. Killing your Clanmates, even if he deserves it (Which I think he did), was not the best course of action. She should of gone to Firestar; who's her grandfather, dealt with half-clan cats before and has the ability to exile Ashfur. Sure the secret would of gotten out, but it would only be a Thunderclan affair. Which is much less worse then having it revealed by the entire gathering.And trying to kill her mother/Medicine cat, that defiantly not loyalty - sure, she lied. But she didn't deserve to get murdered. - Mellowix
