I went into Digimon anime because everyone told me it was a better anime than Pokemon is so I expected it to be a better anime than Pokemon is. At one point I was so tired of how the Pokemon anime didn't age the characters and using it's overall potential, but kept watching because the characters are so beloved. I went back to Pokemon after the failed attempt at Digimon and fell in love with it all over again. Digimon's concept is just so childish to me. People say it has a better story. A more continuous story? Yes. But better? Definitely not. Pokemon is better in every other way. I'd like Pokemon to be more contiouous and stuff, but it told stories better than Digimon despite being episode by episode. The actual deeper storytelling arcs of Pokemon is better than the entire season I saw of Digimon. I was 20 episodes in when I got tired of Digimon, but was told I needed to watch the entire season. I regret it. Because Digimon feels forced down my throat now and I hate it. What if I ... more
