Easily one of the best maps in the Zombie franchise. Personally, I consider Mob of the Dead the shining Jewel of Black Ops 2 (and probably all Black Ops) Zombies. BO2 had some great and innovative maps like Tranzit and Origins, but BO2 seemed to lack the dark-mysterious theme that so heavily populated BO1 Zombies. Mob of the Dead restored that theme and more so. Somewhat disconnected from the main story, the atmosphere, characters, and visuals of Mob of the Dead are some of the most horrifying and frightening yet (Something that should not be overlooked when playing a game where the main goal is to survive unrelenting hoards of the undead). The guns on this map are great - Blundergat, Deathmachine, Tommy gun, just to name a few. The main story/Easter egg, though fairly short, is both fun and intriguing. This map deserves to be top 3. A lot of people look at the overall gameplay to determine if a map is good or not, but I feel that atmosphere, characters, and difficulty play a part as well. The atmosphere of this map is very dark. It kinda brings back the World at War feel. Dark colors, bodies hanging in chains, everything absolutely demolished. The characters also fit the map very well. 4 mobsters stuck in a cycle because of their sins is such a nice way to fit the map. Finally the difficulty. This map takes A LONG TIME to get everything. Even if you save up points wisely, you may not get Jugg until Round 7 if you're lucky. And you may not get to Pack a Punch until Round 12 if you're lucky. Overall, I think this map really set the pace for BO2 zombies. Die Rise being the train wreck it was made me think that BO2 zombies would be a joke. But after MOTD, everything was perfect. Buried brought us an easy map, but extremely fun gameplay along with the classic western theme. And Origins ... more

This map is creepy, fun and hard. What more can you ask for in a zombies map. Plus the creepy and fear factor is not something all zombie maps, albeit kind of rare. Just the feeling of beeing trapped on Alcatraz fighting the endless horror horde. It's Wunderwaffe (Wonder weapon) is also awesome, I forgot the name of it off the top of my head, but the Wunderwaffe Shotgun just shredded everything and was awesome, though as does everything has their drawbacks, which actually makes it better. Now onto the fear. The fear factor is the most I've had. The either claustrophobic indoors that don't give much breathing room from the barbed wire and blood covered zombies. To the outdoors, which in its way was also Claustrophobic by making you trapped in a surprisingly small area, making you either trapped or freaked out, trains are only for the absolute pros, as you get swarmed everywhere quickly. This is my personal favorite. Mob of the dead offers the blundergat, a new wonder weapon. Along with Electric Cherry perk and has great verticality for exciting gameplay. The setting is perfect to make an eerie zombie map and include the Golden Gate Bridge when you access the plane on the roof. I recommend this map to all zombie players.

Definitely the most creative map since der riese has a lot of things to do but they are fun little tasks whick makes you go places where you wouldn't this map should be in top 3 it tome my breath away that it was in 7th place. And the blundergat is a really good wonder weapon
