Ok, I agree with the guy who said left 4 dead is the most fun zombie game but this game is just incredible, it might even be better than the comic books and show its based off of. You find your self getting connected to the characters right off the bat. You really feel like its your duty to keep Clementine safe. You actually have to make choices that affect your relationships with others and in some cases who lives and who dies. This game is story based and NOT about how many zombies you can kill in three seconds. while I enjoy dead island, Call of Duty and l4d this one gets my vote.

Left for Dead is the most fun zombie game, with you gunning down zombies running at you with your assault rifles and shotguns, but this is the best as far as story and character development, one of the best stories I have seen in a game. It made you care for the characters especially Lee and Clementine. Its just a good thing they took their inspiration from the comic and not the amc T.V. series like another game on this list.

This is one of the most emotional games I have ever played. You always get so close to a character or you start to get used to a new character that has been introduced and then they kill that person off. You can also change how each character thinks about you depending on the choices you make. This is a very great game that will leave you sad and it will mess with your feelings.

This should really be in first place, if not at least in the top three. First zombie game I ever played which was built almost entirely on the relationships you build with other characters and the storyline and plot. There is a reason it won 'Game of the Year 2012'. I'd say either The Walking Dead, or The Last of Us are the best zombie-related video games for this aspect alone.

This list is very surprising! TWD is not only, in my opinion, the greatest zombie game of all time, but it is also one of the best games I've played period! It has the best plot/story I've ever seen, incredible character development, a bit of ambiguity in the final outcome (not a huge difference), and allows you to place yourself in the world! This is probably the most realistic zombie game as you have to make hard choices like wether to shoot a boy who has been bitten and to either save the girl you like or save a good friend! Also the game will revolve around how you play, which will effect the climax at the end of the game!

This game should be in first place because it forces you to make the tough decisions and doesn't just come with them already made for the purpose of the story. It also in a a way lets you see how you would handle yourself in this situation, and finally who could forget arguably the saddest ending to a video game of all time

Not only is this a great game in general, but unlike the dead risings, dead islands, and L4D's (all incredible as well) this games story is so powerful it knocks bioshock out of the competition. So few games have such an emotional yet action packed story, much less a zombie game. And telltale is nailing season two so far, this game deserves all it has got and more
