If you've ever played this and the devil went down to Georgia, you could probably understand why this song is #1. On the devil went down to Georgia you can make it to at least 25% into the song before you die, and on thorough the fire and the flames it takes a lot of practice to beat the the "hammer on's"( only 5% ), then once you beat that you're not home free. There are more death solos that will tear you apart ( unless you're a real legend ). And last but not least, there's one more death solo at the end of the song. "You Rock", which is just like the beginning, but not as long and not as much notes. Easily the hardest song. - Gideon

This song... Herrr so many memories I would get home from school and practise this song over and over until one day... I FINISHED IT I was about 3 notes from failing by the end of it and boy oh boy when I first started going through the song I thought the first note (red) was a really hard note to get to the putting your hand right up the the frets to play with two hands but then... The solos came I remember I got past her mans solo A about 20 times got through Sams solo 15 times, got through Hermans solo B 7 times and got through the twin solos twice and the day I finished it I played the game for a week more then just didn't play it.

Always loved the song, then I found It was on guitar hero. Played it on medium and hyperspeed 5, like I do with every song and I've never failed the song completely. There are parts I struggle with but its fun to play and I love the harder songs anyway, they're more interesting. I can only go on medium as I can't reach the last button very well without moving my entire hand so it proves very troublesome. Love the song, love the game, just wish I could play it on expert

The hardest part is the beginning hammer-ons, which will have you on the floor and crying in a matter of seconds. Truly, this deserves its place.

Not only does it have 3722 notes, which is more than any other song but it also has the highest fail rate out of any other, I should know I practiced that song on expert for like 3 months of my life before I beat it, but now I master it with 95% but I have also played the others on this list and none took as long as 3 months to even beat let alone master it

Honestly... This song isn't all that hard compared to Jordan. I have beaten every song in every guitar hero and rock band game (including Through the Fire and Flames), except for Jordan. Now I haven't played the re-release which is probably very beatable with tap notes... Just saying that this should be #2 by a long shot

I've played guitar hero for like 5 years and still can't get 1% of this song on expert. This song's intro is much easier on real guitar and the solos are also nasty. I doubt a Meshuggah song would be this difficult on Guitar Hero (and not just because I can play a couple on real guitar either).

Harder than Jordan because Jordan doesn't get hard until you get to the solos (which are the hardest solos, by the way) while TTFATF is hard from the start. Also, song length. TTFATF is much longer than Jordan, and takes a lot to get to the solo, by then you will probably be too tired to make it to the end.

I can't believe that I can get 4 stars on this! The intro is really just a pattern that keeps repeating, and that is the hardest part, so if you get past that, you probably will be able to beat it. This truly is the hardest song ever, though. (but still, 4 stars! )

way harder than any of the songs mentioned here like hot for teacher, one, satch boogie. I didn't play jordan and I remember the devil went down to georgia farely easy. And Raining Blood is a hell crazy song, but not harder than this. - AymanKabir
