這是一個好游戲,但它幾乎沒有值得所有的贊美了。故事情節很有趣,但是可怕的圖形,游戲相當無聊,主角非常討喜,壞人沒有個性和動機。我不能說我關心Aerith去世時,她是一個很煩人的性格,在我看來,有很多其他更好的最終幻想游戲,但因為某些原因他們總是蓋過了這一個。我不明白為什么。

It's an okay game, but it hardly deserves all the praise it's gotten. The storyline is somewhat interesting, but the graphics are terrible, the gameplay rather boring, the main character is very unlikable and the villain has no personality or motive. I can't say I actually cared when Aerith died either, she was a pretty annoying character, in my opinion. There are so many other Final Fantasy games that are better, but for some reason they're always overshadowed by this one. I've never understood why.

This game has a special place in some people's hearts and I understand that. For most it was the first game they put 100+ hours into and so, understandibly there is a lot of nostalgia surrounding this game. And it's because of that nostalgia that this game is so grossly overrated and here are the reasons why. A: The story is only okay. It isn't bad but it certainly is far from a master piece. Many characters linger to long in 2 dimensional mediocrity and certain plot points move far too slow B: The gameplay only allows 3 people party set ups and the materia system makes some party members useless altogether. It isn't bad per say but it's FAR from being the best JRPGS have to offer. C: visually it has aged very poorly. Some sequences or rooms look downright ugly to todays standards. Games both older and younger hold up better. D: other ff games do it all better *cough ff6 cough*

Final Fantasy VII is a good game but it's too overrated. When people think of Final Fantasy they think of a guy with blonde spiky hair (Cloud) or a silver-haired man with a thin long sword (Sephiroth). They don't think of a blonde guy with a monkey tail (Zidane) or a guy with a scar on his face (Squall). Final Fantasy isn't just about VII it's about the entire franchise as a whole. In fact, Final Fantasy IX is easily the best Final Fantasy game. It's way better and more fun to play than VII.

I have never really been a fan of Final fantasy games. They're way too linear for me and the characters are usually brooding doofs and the game is an insufferable 50 plus hours. I never feel like I am playing a game, I feel like I am watching an interactive movie. I don't like ANY of the characters (except maybe one but they killed her) everything is so bland and drab and emo-y I just...oh my god this game is boring and lame. I will never understand the love for this game. I would rather play FNAF. at least that's only like 3 hours long and then I can have my life back.

The characters and plot line are shallow, and not to mention it was just mean to kill off the main character's girlfriend. Not to mention the same character cliches are used over and over in every single game in the series.

Considering that I am barely playing the game, this game is very over-hyped because it was the first 3-D Final Fantasy game, limit breaks were added, 3-D cut scenes, 3-D games were a huge deal in the 90's, and that's all I have to say. I strongly disagree that this is the best game of all time. I played many rpgs and the rpgs I enjoy more are Kingdom Hearts, Chrono Trigger, and Phantasy star 4.
