You can be really good and still be overrated. I know she has a fanatic group,of people that follow her, and some have said she is starting to write songs. If she can do it, this would be how she really makes her mark. Unless you have the talent of a Barbra Streisand or Judy Garland (both of whom can also act), songwriting is what will really keep people remembering you. People rave about her version of With or Without You, but that will always be a U2 song. She needs some songs of her own.

She seems like a really sweet kid and has a beautiful voice so I don't want to hate on her, but jeez she she has an awful fanbase! They always act like they are more "mature" than other fanbases. She is also number one on most lists that have to do with vocal talent. I love classical music, but I like the fact that most of it doesn't have lyrics, so I've never really enjoyed her music. This group will soon climb the list of worst fanbases.

The Jackie Evancho haters seem to be extremely poor at math skills. They say she is on "all" or "every" music list, when she is on very few lists. Jackie Evancho has an extrodinary talent that I haven't seen in a while in the music industry. How she can be overrated? I think she is one of the most under appreciated singers of today and I'm ashamed that our generation is stupid enough to worship and obsessively listen to music by people such as Justin Bieber and not even care about extremely talented people like Jackie.

She ceartinly has a great voice, and is a lot better than many child singers, but all in all, her songs are rated too high on this site. A lot of other singers worked a lot harder, and went through a lot more than her to get famous. Also, they had more life experiences, so they really mean the words they sing. Still, Evancho is much, much better than 99% of child singers.. - Hajj
