People say Yoda was the most powerful but that actually isn't true. he's not the grand master because he's really powerful but he is the grand master because he is very wise and has been a jedi for a very very long time. Yoda only matched Count Dooku's force abilities and same with his lightsaber skills. Anakin destroyed Dooku in a duel. Also he has demonstrated immense force abilities (especially in the CGI clone wars series). Everyone would probably say that Kenobi is more powerful because he beat him, but he didn't beat him because of his skill. He beat him because Vader couldn't jump high enough (even though we see him jump higher and faster in several occasions). Some might argue that Mace Windu, but he wouldn't be able to beat him in a lightsaber duel because his lightsaber form wouldn't do crap against him, especially since Dooku who was pretty much the best duelist of his time was beaten by Anakin. I don't blame people for believing that yoda is the strongest character in star wars. He is bad ass and is my favorite jedi...but he is indeed in second place. Anakin was meant to be the strongest. He is the chosen one. In the end he brought back balance to the force by killing darth sidious with his son by his side. He was the most sensitive to the force man in history. Strongest force user ever I don't even have to list all the things he was capable of doing in the 4th 5th and 6th movie just watch them he could even have killed Luke several times. This is not an argue. Anakin was meant to be the strongest. Cause he is Darth Vader you know?

By far Anakin because he has the most midichlorian count and he never reached his potential being young and then later seriously handicapped and barely alive. So basically the suit is life support and he is not his full self. He can not shoot lightning through the mechanical hand as other sith do as the suit is not force sensitive. So he is like a crippled sith. Also that Revan in the new Jedi series is so weak I don't even under stand how he got on the strong list when he could not even beat an untrained force sensitive girl that any apprentice could kill. But of course the new people making these new movies are not intelligent or they would not make such obvious mistakes

As have being created purely by the force and having all the rage and anger that his childhood and young adult ages encoraged him to have, he possessed a lot of raw power, the most by any species ever recorded. He was very unstable and he feared the future. His fear led to the lack of a clear vision which was the perfect thing to someone who already manipulated the entire galaxy and he let him being controlled. His raw power could not be fully exploited because of the Jedi code and his lack of knowledge at his youg stages and his mechanical body could not fully take advantage of the force which is organic. The limitless nature of the Sith and his know vast knowledge of the force as Vader, made him the ultimate weapon of destruction. In the original trilogy he does not show his full power but in the expanded universe, which is no longer canon, he shows his full power, the guy can levitate and hover around using the force. In the new marvel comics we learn a lot more about him.

Even Darth Sidious says in Episode III before his battle with Yoda "Vader will become more powerful than you or I." He is the chosen one, more force sensitive than anyone ever before him, he killed Sidious (accomplishing a feat that even Yoda couldn't, defeating the Emperor), Dooku (which Obi-Wan was unable to do on multiple occasions), Windu and could have easily killed Luke multiple times during their battle on Cloud City in Episode V. He let luke defeat him in Episode VI because he couldn't bring himself to kill his own son and he ended up saving him in the end. Yes Obi-Wan did defeat him in Episode III but there are a few problems with that, one Obi-Wan had the advantage of higher ground, two Anakin was not at his prime yet, he was still young, confused and over confident in himself, had Anakin been at his peek he would have won. Anakin/Vader was the strongest having the highest midi-chlorian count but never reached his potential being young and later handicapped and stuck in a suit. If he had a few more years as a whole person and not mostly machine as Vader was he would have easily beat any Jedi or sith. Even darth sidious said he would become stronger than both himself and Yoda. Also he is bigger and stronger than Yoda. That was Yodas biggest weakness his size. And going back to the midi-chlorian count Anakin has more than Yoda or anybody else as far as that goes. He was actually created from the Force itself from what his mother said having no father which makes him more unique and the only one. So if he would have made it to a mature age with no injuries and trained to his full potential he could have battled Mace Windu, Yoda, Darth Sidious, Count Dooku and Obi-Wan and still come out on top to victory

The higher the Mido-Chlorian Count, the stronger the Force Sensitive is, and would be with the Force. How can Anakin not be the most powerful Jedi of all time? Yoda may be the most liked, and most powerful, but Anakin's father was literally the force itself. In addition to that he was the chosen one, and had the highest Chlorian count of all time period. Anakin never got to live up to his full potential do to his attitude, and wit "as Obi-Wan" would claim, and his manipulation over in the Dark Side caused him to be deemed just as "powerful" as oppose to the most powerful of all time.
