    People underestimate triathlon. you have to dedicate yor life for it and one slip up could ruin your race. Unless you have competed before you wont understand the physical and mental exhaustion it takes in order to compete at a high level, you have to train for three sports at a high level. Also you have to keep going for ages its not like football when you run 10m and stop over and over until your subed of plus you have teammates to rely on if needed but triathlon its down to you and there is no stopping during a race

The time and commitment is insane- I now look back at when I trained for just a marathon and it seems so easy compared to multi discipline sports.
