Boyhood is a truly great movie of the decade. It is one of the great stories, and peaks when Mason heads off to college in a truly beautiful moment, filled with the sense of a whole world to explore now in his future. That's what great films do, they present us with a story and make full use of the emotional peaks. I really felt like I grew up with the character and went on a journey. This is life as it is, and as such, the movie just, is. It presents the characters and presents us with this boy growing up. Boyhood is probably the best story of the decade, and it really peaks at the scene where Mason goes off to college. I felt like I grew up with the main characters, and I went on a journey with them like all great movies. It gets so much unnecessary hate now just like La La Land.
