這就是為什么人們不喜歡埃琳娜。她總是做傻事，借口是她只想拯救所有人，但有3/4的人最終都因為她而死去。別忘了她是如何通過殺死兩個吸血鬼原型殺死成千上萬的吸血鬼的。她的朋友們因為她而失去了家人或情人，而她也會扮演一個無辜的角色，把責任推到別人身上，最后她被原諒了。所有這些都是因為她改變了人性，殺了很多人，甚至幾次試圖殺死她最好的朋友，她甚至都不想再聽到這件事。她還在兩個兄弟之間切換，誰知道有多少集。她也很受傷別人的感受，但她是一個生氣的人。最重要的是她總是把她的一切都說出來！

Here's why people do not like elena. She keeps doing stupid with her excuse that she's only trying to save everyone but 3/4 of THEM end up dying because of HER. And let's not forget how she killed thousands of vampires(good or bad) by killing two originals. Her friends lost their family members or their lovers because of her and she would play all innocent and place the blame on someone else then she ended up forgiven. All also when she turned of her humanity and killed a lot of people and even tried to kill her best friends a couple of times and she wouldn't even want hear any of it after. She also switched between two brothers for who knows how many episodes. She also hurt people's feelings but she's the one acting angry.AND MOST IMPORTANTLY SHE ALWAYS MAKES EVERYTHING ABOUT HER!

Elena is such an underrated character. She's amazing and she is not a Mary Sue! I don't understand how Katherine is above her, Bonnie, and Caroline. Katherine makes me very angry.

I honestly don't get why people hate Elena? I mean she is the main character so if you don't like her then why do you watch the show? Also I get how people say that she makes things about herself. BUT FOR REAL SHE didn't ASK EVERYONE TO PROTECT HER! THEY JUST DO. She is beautiful inside and out. She is caring, kind, smart, athletic, and a strong person. She lost so many people and is still kind to people. I was so sad when Nina left! Elena is amazing and haters need to SHUT UP!

I don't understand why people say she makes everything about her! She's is the main character after all! She is beautiful physically and emotionally. She's caring and independent. Even when she wasn't a vampire she could definialty stand up to one! She is also extremely smart. She kind, funny, smart, beautiful, and independent. Yes a lot of deaths are caused by her but still she is just learning a lot of these things!

Easily my least favorite character. She has said negative things about her friend and acts all innocent when she is not. She manipulates Stefan and Damon. Remember when she told Damon it would always be Stefan. But yet we find her making out with Damon. I literally like almost all the characters but I had to stop watching this show because of Elena. Sorry if you like her.

Elena is simply the best character in the show. She lived so much tough moments, but never gave up! She's very inspiring, being compassionate, kind and always ready to help everyone. She is so selfless.

I love Elena shes a big part of the show and the fact people hate her is just annoying considering shes one of the first ever characters to be introduced to the show the way she cares for her family and is willing to sacrifice herself just to save others I'm not saying she should be in the top 5 but defiantly deserves to be 7th after Damon Klaus Elijah Rebekah Lexi and Stefan

Nina did a good job (although the character was supposed to be blonde in accordance with the book), however, I do not miss Elena a bit. The show is as good or even better without her. The only good thing was that she was a link to Jeremy (and Jenna), but since Steven (and Sara) is (/are) not on the show anymore, I don't miss Elena at all.

Ok people need to stop hating on Elena. She is sweet and kind and cares about everyone, and is a great daughter, sister, friend, and lover. She is thoughtful and is a great role model. Is it her fault that everyone loves her and wants to protect her? No! I admire her and I think that she is a great role model.
