These teachers are especially annoying in high school. They bombard you with about 2 hours' worth of homework with no consideration to your other classes. This can be especially irritating when the teachers do easy problems with you in class and give you hard ones for homework. This is a lot to ask for considering most students also participate in extracurriculars, volunteer, and have jobs. This keeps many students up until 12, if they're lucky. Some students have been unfortunate enough to go to bed at 2. Plus, many schools start early in the morning, requiring students to wake up at 5 or 6 in the morning in order to arrive on time. Studies have shown that getting 6 hours of sleep has the same effect on the brain as getting no sleep at all. If schools and teachers want students to be successful, they need to give out less homework. 我討厭家庭作業的地方是，我們上學7個小時，就好像一開始還沒有足夠的工作，我們回家后仍然有工作！我至少要花一個小時來做作業，我一天大概有15個小時是醒著的，有些日子我真的要做15個小時的作業，有時候我甚至連做完作業幾個小時的作業都沒做完！然后我父母會給我的數學老師寫張紙條，說我整個下午和晚上都在做作業，她會生氣的！

What I hate about homework is that we go to school for 7 hours, like that's not enough work to begin with, and we go home and still have work! It takes me at least an hour to do my homework. I'm awake for about 15 hours a day and some days I'm literally doing work for 15 of those hours and sometimes I don't even get all of the homework done after hours of doing it! Then my parents will write a note to my math teacher that I literally was doing work the entire afternoon and evening and she'll get angry!

I hated these the most. Don't they understand that we have homework in OTHER subjects as well, and not just THAT subject!? Also, many students also WORK to support their family!? They need some sleep! Homework is beneficial, and an hour a day is enough, but up to a certain point, it becomes redundant and is just busy work. Or they have an elitist ego and think people who aren't as smart as they are shouldn't be pursuing their field.
