Sam since season 1 is just the purest most intelligent respectable character it was like a love at first sight for me 3 Also Jared's acting is just insaaaane and on another level.. he never ceases to amaze us. Sam's character arch is also the most interesting in my opinion. He goes from not knowing monster's are real to fighting his dad, running away from the family business to loving every second of it and sticking by Dean's side no matter what 3 I just love him so much 3

Sam is very brave and caring and selfless, he's always trying to do best thing. He loses everyone he loves, his mum dies before he got to know her, his father hates him for wanting to be normal and he thinks that his brother thinks he is such a disappointment. He deserves so much more attention than he gets from fans. He went through so much, he dies, he was put in a cage, he lost his love (several times), his brother turned his back on him, his mother leaves (AGAIN), his friends die. He is left all alone in the world and he is still trying to do his best to save this world that gave him everything but rest and long - term happiness. He is a true hero in this show and everyone should at least respect him, I mean he was tortured, by Lucifer, in his head and still tried to save lives. Just a friendly reminder, Sam Winchester would give his life for you even though he doesn't know who you are

We get set up from the very beginning of spn that sam was going to be the good guy, but as we move forward in the series we start to see that sammy has a darker side to him. The fact that he overcame his demons for the greater good of the world shows how much he's willing to give up for everyone else. Although he's made mistakes in the past, he's always had good intentions. He always puts others before himself. The fact that people downsize Sammy upsets me because he is one of the most self sacrificing, caring, and downright like able characters on the show. And well, let's face it, who can resist Sammy's long, majestic, moose mane.

Sam has been through so much and he is still the kindest and sweetest little pumpkin in the bunch. His girlfriend dies, his brother dies, he has to kill another lover of his, he gets pumped full of demon blood and manipulated to open the gates of hell [damn how good do you think he feels now], he also DIES, PAINFULLY, gets put in a cage, tormented by the devil and his brother, then gets yanked out without a soul, tormented some more and he still has the energy and will to want to save everyone, and the patience to calm those in panic down with a soothing voice and a cheery smile. He is amazing, smart, tall, has flowing locks of a majestic beast and a smile made of sunshine. NO ONE PUTS SAMMY I A CORNER.

Sam is the greatest character because he's been through so much, but he still perseveres and has such a wise and kind look on the world. He is always the one to try and do the right thing by his family and the world. He also is a complex and interesting character as he has such a darkness to him and can be ruthless this is especially demonstrated when he is souless! sam and we see his darkness take over and when he is drawn with parallels to lucifer. Through this we see how to fight his darkness inside he trys so hard to help people and although Dean is always seen as the 'hero', Sam is just as much and even more as unlike Dean who creates so many casualties through his hunting: Sam stops and actually helps people. Sam is definitely the best character in Supernatural

It just isn't fair that he's always the one who makes the mistakes while Dean fixes him. I loved how in season 1 we see them with their respective talents and I don't think that trend was carried on. The balance between the brothers, how one made up what the other lacked, has really fallen. We stick with the show but they've taken unnecessary detours wirh Sam's personality at times. He's so amazing and smart and sweet (and hot. It's Jared, who doesn't love him). I instantly loved Sam in season 1 and I hate how sometimes the fandom doesn't appreciate his reasons or his circumstances for various actions.We need some badass Sam kicking ass, saving lives and taking names.

He's actually a really underrated character, for some reason, even though he shares a lead with dean. maybe its because people ship destiel and make it the main focus when watching the show.I mean come on, he's empathetic, a great hunter and not to mention the badass demon blood / lucifer scenarios. the man's seen his brother die over 100 times, been to hell, been tortured by lucifer, had most of the people he's ever loved killed, never had a good mother or father figure from birth, given demon blood as a baby, threw himself into the cage with lucifer, was manipulated into releasing lucifer and still remains a good person.#justiceforsammy

Why is Asstiel the second one on this list when Supernatural has 2 leads, Sam and Dean Winchester. Sam is an amazing hunter, raised by his big brother Dean. They saved the world a billion times, Sam saved so much people and still he's hated or underrated. SAM and JARED deserve more recognition and respect! From fans and from crew! He's a genuine guy who lost too much, who has been insulted and hated by everyone, except Dean (maybe...) still he's the same little bean as always. He's my favourite character in all the T.V. story 'cause I feel like connected to him. Sam know that I will always fight for you. Akf!

well. He's hot. Loved his character early on in the show. Hated him in the middle seasons. (sorry but he was a whinny, miserable, child who couldn't stay true to his self or his brother for anything. bros before ho's dude and you chose a ho over your brother too many times) but he does get back some of my love and respect through that later seasons. I guess his character was just one that has to learn from his mistakes (over and over again) in order to be a better person that actually deserves Dean as a brother.
