How is this here? I understand that it was amazing in its time, but this is 2017! I can't believe that airlines still use this! Compared to aircraft such as the A380, which have full Fly By Wire (FBW) and are much more comfortable (for example the A380 has 50% less cabin noise). I see some people who seem to have turned this into an Airbus vs Boeing debate, and that's just stupid, since the A380 is obviously better than the 747 as it was made 30 years later! Best plane ever.It was an original concept. A lot of paperwork, design changes. It had a good safety record, it's been in the skies for over 40 years now. A380, on the other hand had only spent 5 odd years. -100, -200, -400 ETC to name a few, Lot of improvement, innovation over years. It is now the longest and the fastest public airplane. Love the graceful hump. It is always exhilarating to watch a 747 land. QUEEN OF THE SKIES, INDEED.
