I honestly think Rose is the best just because she has true chemistry with the Doctor. She gets him and she knows him and though she gets jealous at times when he takes notice of other women, they really do make the perfect pair. Take the episode Tooth and Claw for example, Rose wanted the Queen to say 'I am not amused' they've been pretty much keeping it on their mind throughout the entire time and both hoped that she would say that as well.Also, Rose was wary of the Tenth Doctor at first, but quickly gained her trust again and never stopped supporting and believing in him. Like in 'Parting of The Ways'. The Doctor sent her back and told her to leave both him and the TARDIS, but she wouldn't and she didn't give up. The reason why I love Rose so much is here we have a character who came from such humble beginnings. Rose grew up on a council estate in London with a mother who loved and cared for her daughter, but admittedly put a stranglehold on her life choices 'that job was giving you airs and graces' was the only comment Rose's mother could procure when Rose lost her job (thanks to The Doctor, of course).Speaking of The Doctor, from the moment he quite literally crashed into Rose's life and uttered the word 'run' their journey has been one of 'the stuff of legend'.Rose's personality consisted of being adventurous, clever, loving, kind-hearted and incredibly fierce.The Doctor thought very highly of Rose, telling her she had 'made him better' as a person. I think that's very moving how they both touched and influenced other's lives for the better.

I was torn between Rose Tyler and Sarah Jane Smith to be honest. Let me just say that Sarah Jane was my favourite companion for the old school era of Who, but Rose to me was the perfect companion for the modern series. She was witty, balsy, compassionate (she showed compassion for a Dalek of all things), and loving. And while she did have her flaws (jealousy, the way she disrespected Mickey, Sarcasm, etc.) those flaws only made her more human. I rather have a character that has flaws then a "perfect" character with no flaws which makes him/her seem robotic. Plus the fact that Billie Piper herself is one of the sweetest, kindest celebrities I've ever met makes me like Rose even more.

Rose Tyler was definitely the best companion of the Doctor. She could be so fearless and always had the courage to face the problem headstrong. Don't forget that Rose also showed sympathy to the Daleks.Her relationship with the Doctor was natural. In their adventures, they always had each other's back. They were best friends and obviously enjoyed each other's company. Even the Doctor himself said that Rose made him a better person.Rose Tyler illustrates that everyday human beings can live an adventure of their own!

My favorite Companion of 'Nuwho' She's fierce, Loyal, determined, loving Compassionate.. One of the best written and fully rounded Companions in the 'New' series.. She's not particularly special (Mensa smarts, magic powers) She could be me or you... But as the doctor said "She was human.. Everything she did was so human"She became the 'BadWolf' Took on the Devil... Nearly sacrificed herself saving the world from both the Daleks and Cybermen in one episode.But most importantly she shared a very special relationship with both Doctors 9 and 10.. A love story that was amazing to watch, and culminated in a 'bittersweet' but well deserved ending for her.

Boy, is that one a tough call; in the end, for me, it came down to picking between two women who were nothing and nobody special and yet made the Doctor so much more. The other being Donna Noble. Rose comes above for me by a hair's breadth because her growth is spectacular and yet entirely believable. Her story is the rare one of a young human who was nothing or nobody special except for the challenges she was facing, and she grew to prove herself equal to the tasks set before her.In a sense, that's why she had to go. When her story arc begins, she's just a companion. By the end of it, she's a match for the Doctor in so many aspects that had the series gone on with her as a companion, the only fundamental difference between Rose and the Doctor would have been his knowledge. And that's where the amazing chemistry between the two of them would have broken, and when Rose's character would have become static. Which is worse than death for a character all about personal growth.

Rose tyler was just amazing. As everybody said before. Billie and David have a great chemistry and that is just amazing because all they do is funny and lovely.I don't know why some people hate rose. I heard some people saying that rose was just a comun girl. But what is wrong with that? She was amazing! She was smart, lovely, funny and independent.I never liked martha. And I hate when people say "you don't like martha because she is black" That is bull! Marha was and is a very beautiful woman but the whole season two was so boring because she was just thinking about Rose, she was pissed of when the doctor mentioned rose. why?
