They self-identify as the "skeleton clique", which could well be even more cringeworthy than the band calling their tour the "emotional roadshow". I was reading the comments on Anthony Fantano's review of their Blurryface album, and whenever anyone wrote a negative comment about the band, a fan would come along and either spew back a load of profanity or post their silly "you don't understand, this band saved my life, I'm so emo" nonsense. Seriously, if this band really means THAT much to you, you would at least defend them with an intelligent argument. I forgot to mention that some of the fans get offended by people stating the band's name in abbreviated form, such as '21P'. That's just ridiculous.Even though I personally dislike Twenty One Pilots, I'm not in any way judgmental over anyone's music taste and I don't care at all if people like them - it's just that some of their fans are incredibly immature.

Yeah, these guys suck. Most of them are pretentious, selfish teenage girls who think they're the most tormented person on earth because 'people don't understand them'. They think they're so special, but they're really just whiny people who want to be felt sorry for. I hate to admit I used to be one of them. This band and its fanbase are basically a cult. They go to the concerts dressed up like them and get tattoos related to the band. I'm a fan of twenty one pilots. Yeah and I get you. They are so many immature fans in our fan base I admit that. Because the majority of those who caused so much trouble are 14 years old.
