I told my brader that " this town transforms into a ghost town after the saviour has risen? why?we shouldn't sleep! we should sing! and dance! and just do anything to praise Jesus Christ, to Ever thank him for he has saved us all from the original sin!and so in 1998 I shared this with then municipal councilor Concordio C. Mejias, my good friend and kumpadre.

This is the Easter Feast of the Resurrection. one that transcends religion. The Sugat-Kabanhawan Festival is created to be the sequel to the more than one hundred year ol Sugat sa Minglanilla. it started in 1887. and so, to honor and adore and give thanks to our risen Saviour, Jesus Christ, we established this Religious festival in 2005. however, it was conceptualized way back in 1986. and then I shared it with then Minglanilla Municipal Councilor my Kumpadre Cording Mejias in 1998.we haven't launched it that year due to lack of funds and finances. however, in the heat of the election campaign in 2004, Concordio Mejias, Robert John Selma, Jaime Caimeran, the late atty. Samuel Adlawan Sr., Ramsi Sayson who are all candidates for municipal councilors then, and then Municipal Vice-Mayor Elanito A. Pe帽a, made a covenant with God that after the Elections, the Festival preparations shall be our priority!and so we did...we presented it to the late mayor Eduardo Ma. Selma.. he told ... more
