It' was a hard choice for me because there are so many great characters. Hershel, Rick and Daryl could all have had my vote, but I chose Carl because he has the most potential out of anyone. He's a kid having to grow up in this world, and he has had some of the best moments in the show and a lot of development. I believe when the show finally ends, Carl will be the last man standing.P. S to the guy who said Carl IS the last one to survive in the comics, you're a liar, because the comics are still going and plenty of characters are still around. He started at 10, now he is gone. He always protected the people around him, including Enid. He was a great person. He understood what the walkers were, and he never took any chances. Even without an eye, he is stronger than most characters. He got shot, she lost an eye, now he was bit. Useless death. He should have been bit in the arm, leg, or not have been bit at all! >:c R.I.P. My favorite character, Carl Grimes. He has to be an amazing actor to be a kid in an apocalypse. It's hard enough being an adult. He has grown so much from season one to now. I feel he started showing the most character when he was screaming at Rick after they ran from the prison Okay, I'll admit Carl was pretty annoying and useless in seasons one and two but thank you puberty for this beautiful human being you have given us. But to be honest Carl got really badass in season 4 and eh I guess season 3 was鈥haracter development? I don't know but he used to be "Carl, Rick and Lori's kid who wouldn't stay in the DAMN HOUSE" but now he's like "Hot, zombie killin' Carl Grimes"
