Gymnastics is probably the hardest sport there is I have been doing it since very little and have competed in nations and worldwide events. The amount of injuries you get is incredibly insane! Some of my friends backs have been broken because of how dangerous some skills are. For example you have to stick some pretty hard things in gym and not only that but to not be scared while doing those things. for gymnastics you need at least to be super fit and have a lot of strength and guts to some tricks. Sometimes just doing one skill can take weeks or even months but not only that it takes a lot of efforct to be out of your comfort zone when doing gym and you have to be a very risky person and very committed to braking bones, tearing muscles and getting the biggest bruises and sores you can imagine!

I am a gymnast and is the hardest sport by far. No it may not be hard when you are little and doing forward rolls and cartwheels but just wait until you reach a higher level and start tumbling on a 4 inch beam, trying to get enough power to do twists and double backs on floor, having enough endurance to get through bar and floor routines, doing crazy tricks between the bars while trying to keep your form perfect, doing the scariest stuff ever, flipping on the vault and trying to hit the springboard just right. So yes gymnastics is the hardest. I also did not mention 2 hours of straight up conditioning including running, lifting weights, working on your arm muscles, leg muscles, and your stomach, stretching, and if you even try to take a break you have to start over, trying to push your splits doing and working on your flexibility. Gymnastics is not a sport were you go to practice and you hardly work, you have to go do what your told and do it perfectly.

I am a gymnast too since 3 years old until now and so I know this particular sport ain't anywhere near easy. 5 to 6 hours of training for months in order to gain perfect balance is hellish and it is still not enough. It is downright difficult that a mistake could lead to instant death. Well, people says soccer exempts any sports and I do admit it once because I do soccer and I love it! But gymnast demonstrate so much more than what football player can in skills, talents and their physical and mental strengths respectively. Thus, I indulge in gymnastics way more than soccer for challenges it brings. Honestly, the gymnast gold medallist in Olympics gain my respect way above any footballers in this world. So yes...gymnastic is top hardest and very hazardous sport in my opinion.

I have been a gymnast since I was about 4 and now I'm a level 10 at the age of 16. I have been through injuries as well as witnessed some of the most stomach-churning ones. Gymnastics pushes brutal forces on you, breaks you mentally, then also breaks you physically, then makes you continue while you are crushed as well as constant stress and anxiousness because of the terrifying skills you are about to do. Not only do the skills you do require lots of physical strength, but also a lot of mental strength because the skills can be very scary and really get to you and it can take a lot to do one skill even with a pad and spot. Gymnastics pushes you past your limits and forces you to go out of your comfort zone every single practice. I agree. I am a gymnast as well and it is the hardest sport I have ever done. Doing flips on a 4 inch bean and staying perfect while you go in between the bars is hard. Getting enough energy for a floor routine and enough energy to do all of he hardest flips known t man is hard. It takes a lot of skill and strenght to all of the skills at gymnastics. Gymnastics also takes a lot of balance especially for balance beam. Doing jumps like a straight jump looks easy, but it's not. Once you get the basic jumps like a straight jump you do harder jumps to a point where it gets so advance you can't even do it. Whoever says gymnastics isn't hard is 100% wrong. Like this person said, "if you don't think its hard, then go to a nearby gymnastics place and try it." Gymnastics is crazy hard. I can understand how swimming can be hard along with horseback riding. But gymnasts have to condition for more than 2 hours and that is only for level 4s or 3s. When you are a Olympian you work your butt off. I remember when I was young some of the kids started crying. That is just from the work out! Imagine splitting the beam after doing two back flips. IT HURTS! Not just that if you are on the bar you can rip your entire hand open just from swinging on the bars! If you lose focus for a moment you could get seriously injured. Just learning how to do things is dangerous. Our coaches put a lot of pressure on you too. They expect correction every turn you take. Also a single kip on the bar takes a lot of strength and that is only to get onto the bar. One single mistake can cost you big points. If land something incorrectly you can seriously get hurt. You have to have lots of flexibility. People think that gymnastics is hard but they can bleary do the splits. ... more

People may think gymnastics is easy, but you go try it! Yeah it's easy doing cartwheels and forward rolls. Duh! Many boys thing that a sport has to involve a ball. Well it doesn't. Gymnasts practice everyday a week and at least 4 hours. I always hear boys complain about how they have a practice for 2 hours. They think it is so long, but I go to gym everyday for 4 hours. Gymnastics is definitely the hardest because it is very hard to do crazy flips on a 4 inch wide beam. Most people can't even do flips on a large floor. Gymnast are strong and athletic. They are truly amazing.

I am a gymnast and it is definitely the hardest thing I have ever done. Physically and mentally challenging gymnast endure 6 hour practices almost every day trying to be perfect. Not only do we do insane doubles flips and twists on floor we also try them on a FOUR INCH beam. Gymnast tear off skin the size of quarters on there hands from the bars trust me it hurts WAY more than anyone could ever think. Unlike any other sport there's always something else to learn whether it be learning a new trick or creating your own.

I'm a gymnast and I have to work hard and lift waits it's not easy at all. Try doing it you have to do all sorts of things like flips. Doing flips on a 4 inch beam is not easy, doing a gymnastics skill like a backhand spring back tuck back lay out on the floor, going from bar to bar is also very complicated you have to be smart
