I honestly see myself in Ben, making him my favorite character in the game. He never wanted to hurt anybody, and I think he actually saved a lot of lives with his actions. Just think for a moment: If the bandits didn't get medicine from Ben, how else would they get it? By waiting for Lee and Kenny to go out looking for supplies, killing EVERYONE, and then ambushing Lee and Kenny when they got back. Then they would loot the camp. Sure Carley/Doug, Katjaa, and Duck die, but that is better then EVERYONE dead. He always got everyone's bull, and was hated by most of the survivors. Kenny always was pushing him around, and kept telling him he should be dead. Even though he always had the pure intentions, he was still hated my most. He was just a kid, he didn't deserve what he got in the end.

Everyone thinks Kenny lost everything, when Ben also lost his family, his school friends. All of these people would be extremely close to him. Ben is just poorly written and unrealistic, his character is just a tool to progress the story on until his death. He tries to save the group but ends up making a mistake, just like a normal human. People love Kenny for his countless mistakes he makes and claim its him just been a human, but Ben does exactly the same but people hate him for it. Ben also sticks by you at all cost where as Kenny only looks out for him and his family.

I agree. Ben is not as bad as what people make him seem. In fact, I don't think he was responsible with most of the deaths. The bandits would have attacked anyway if Ben had to gave them supplies. So Duck's death wasn't really Ben's fault. Katjaa killed herself. Nothing to do with Ben. Carley/Doug was partially his fault but Lilly was mentally unstable at that point. So it could have happened during any arguement. Whether it was caused by Ben.

Ben was just a kid who lost everything he had... His family, his classmates, his teachers, his life. Certain people just seem to not notice that, and thus treat him overly harshly. Sure, he is cowardly, but he never wanted to kill anybody. He, just like Mark, Pete, Luke and Chuck, did not deserve such a brutal end. Sigh. He was actually likable. All he needed was some support from Lee or Kenny.

Ben is one of the few characters in The Walking Dead, who hasn't anymore someone who is close to him. Lee has Clementine, Christa has Omid, Kenny has his family, Lilly has her Dad etc. His teacher and his classmate died shortly after/before he joined Lee's group. The only persons who showed any kind of friendship with Ben was Clementine. I also think it isn't quite fair to blame him for Carleys/Dougs or Katjaas deaths. Lilly was emotional unstable and Kenny's decision to kill her dad triggered her paranoia. Katjaa committed suicide, which is her decision.The deal with the bandits may actually have saved the lives of the group members. Sure it's just speculation but I think the bandits would have attacked sooner and the RV wouldn't be fixed by that point so the group wouldn't have the possibility to escape with it and they would be trapped at the Motor Inn.Ben never wanted to hurt anybody, he is just afraid that he screws up because everyone tells him that he is useless. ... more

I hated Ben when he first came up on my computer screen. As the third episode went on I had my suspicions of him for taking supplies along with Lilly. Then we learn he was the one for stealing supplies from the motel and giving them to the bandits. That got Carley, Duck, and Katjaa killed. I dropped him from the bell tower at Crawford for the first part of my quest to avenge Carley, Duck, and Katjaa. I'm so glad he's gone along side Larry.

Ben is pretty much who lots of people would be in the apocalypse, and I like that about him. When the apocalypse happens, you're not immediately tough and strong like Lee or Kenny, you're confused and scared like Ben was, but eventually you would get stronger...i just wish Ben was alive so he too, could be strong and tough

Was a great guy always trying to help yes it went wrong but in the motor Inn surely the bandits would have killed everyone anyway also he told you to save yourself at Crawford so he is a true hero but I wish he survived along with chuck

It is not Bens fault (mostly) I think he should have lived and became more heroic and brave like Lee in season 2 and I wanted to know more about his backstory and he lost everything he loved family,classmates,teacher,his world and everything.What if you were him it would be the worst live ever with the brutal death of the bell tower or a spike through you stomach.He is amazing.
