Strong disagree, I love them. If anything they're underrated. I think most people who hate them take one look at the state of the fandom (especially back in 2016-2017), assume the worst, and direct that hate at the band themselves. It's better to judge something in its raw form, on its own, without considering the opinion of the fans. When I look at Tyler and Josh, I don't see them 'trying to be edgy'. I just see them being themselves and creating expressive music. if you listen to their songs, they actually have super artistic lyrics and sound compared to most other Pop artists today.TL;DR separate the art from the fanbase.also it's cool how this is 21st on the list when I saw it

Complete garbage. The only song of theirs that's kind of ok is bohemian rhapsody... BUT EVEN THAT DESTROYS A CLASSIC! That's their biggest strike for me. The bohemian rhapsody is one of the all time greatest songs and to remake it the way they did is an atrocity. TheI only true fans are the Starbucks going girls that can't live without an hourly injection of pumpkin spice. There's nothing artistic about moaning into a microphone and whaling.

At best, they're mediocre. They don't really have any creativity or uniqueness in their songs, and really try too hard to be edgy and appeal to a "hip" audience.Their music isn't that good to me. It sounds really bland after a while. Especially songs off Blurryface.But what makes them overrated is the fans. They treat them like the greatest thing to ever exist because their songs apparently are "relatable." They hold little to no tolerance for people that don't like them (like moi).Me being as old (and likely older) as most of their fans, I don't see the appeal. They're like a suburban white trash band who got rejected from the club downtown.So yes, their music isn't the worst, but definitely the most overrated today.

I do listen to them often, but I don't find them edgy. Maybe with a couple of songs but that's not their main goal. They have meaningful lyrics as they have the ability to appeal anybody. Not everyone will like them but they do hold purpose to the ones who do. I'll admit they do have overrated songs but they have songs that are way more deserving like Taxi Cab or Lovely, etc. - 0w0uwu

My friendship was ruined because of TP. My friends was so obsessed of them that when someone (etc me) said "I don't like them. They're ok but I prefer Nirvana and Coldplay", they yelled at me for being the worst person in the world because I don't like them.
