Charizard is the best. Makes sense at second place though, because swampert has the best typing. Why do so many people complain that Charizard is overrated? Okay, okay, probably is a bit overrated, but if it had the best stats over the other two starters, bulbasaur and squirtle wouldn't stand a chance of being chosen as a starter. Even so, this dragon is still chosen most often out of gen 1. Stop complaining that Charizard is overrated and go thank the creators for nerfing it enough to give a little more love to that turtle that people pick for its cuteness, or that weird vegetable that people choose for no reason at all.

Somebody said his lvl49 charizard one shorted lvl65 blastoise with fissure, so what? Any Pokemon can kill it with an Ohko move so that doesn't prove anything. Plus, fissure only works against opponents that have the same level or lower level Pokemon than yours so your situation won't occur now. Other reasons is just reasons like charizard is awesome. Really? Legit reasoning, come on. Somebody already explained why charizard is worse than most other starters, smogon already made two articles and yet some people think it is the best Pokemon there is. I have no problem with Charizard being overrated I just don't like it everyone says Charizard has A great flying type... but no its flying type does nothing but make it Worse it can't learn any flying moves unti GS and you don't Get charmander UNTIL the post game giving it TWO megas is stupid and it light bemefit you a litle in a playtrough if x that's only Where it shines the anemie has nothing to do with its usefullnes. Compedetevely (not sure if I spelled it right) Charizard is horendes its for times week rock it will lose hald of its hp AS soon AS it enters the field and the flying type does nothing but make it Worse it only help against ground and fighting types it already resists bug/grass types it loses its residens to ice types and it makes it bad against both electrick and most of all rock types wich is A Huge disavantege
