Jon snow is the hero of this story along with Dany, him being the ice to her fire. Out of the two elements I prefer ice. It's cold, hard, and unforgiving just like Jon snows path. He has had to defeat a white walker in single combat to survive the slaughter at hardhome. He held off Mance Rayder's attack on the wall and went on a suicide mission to kill Mance only to be saved at the last moment by stannis. After all this he gets stabbed by his own sworn brothers. He was resurrected by the same woman who burned a little girl. His path has truly been dark and full of danger but he keeps doing what is right. Best character in game of thrones

Ok I love jon snow. Even though he isn't the smartest person he has honor which is more then most in GOT. People say things like he's an oath breaker, just a pretty face, he's confused all the time, and other things but he was never an oath breaker he took orders from a superior, (in the books not sure about show) the halfhabd told him "you most not balk whatever is asked of you" had he not done what he did the wild longs would have killed him and destroyed the watch. He is way more then a face he has honor and he has earned everything. Another problem people have with him is the whole King in the North thing, they say "oh he's a usurper and dany is really the queen" Well first of all the first targaryean forcibly took westeros, so the oldest remaining stark should be king in the north (and to everyone who is saying "he isn't really a stark he is rhaegars bastard, sansa said it herself," you're a stark to me". The type of temper he shows every time in a tough situations defines him very well. He trusts himself more than anyone.He has finished every single job given to him either is working as a wall guard or win over winter fell.Making friends from the other side of the wall was not that easy as he did. Without playing politics he achieved a lot. Undoubtedly Tyrion lanniester deserves to be on top but except him no one can replace Jon snow.
