People are very insular and highly self-centered in the state. You will find no kind words from anyone who's a native there, regardless of how nice you are to them. I actually think someone from Wyoming could conceivably die on the spot if they ever said anything positive about another person. Truth is, they are all quite totally miserable there.

This state is so unfriendly toward outsiders. People are so paranoid their "way of life" is being threatened. If you're not from there they don't want to know you, and forget about helping anyone out. It's every man for himself.
