Lydia is the strongest and most influential character in the whole show. Season 4 basically revolves around Lydia and her powers and she continually saves everyone but sadly gets none of the credit. She went through the hell in Season 5 and came out of it stronger and braver than ever before. Not only this, Lydia is a great example for young female viewers. Lydia illustrates beautifully how being smart is cool, and that you can have both a brain and be pretty. Her intelligents has saved the pack on multiple occasions and she has received no praise. Looking back on the first couple seasons, I would of never expected Lydia to be this important to the show, but Teen Wolf wouldn't be the show it is today without the Badass Banshee

Although my personal favourite character is Stiles, Lydia Martin closely follows. With her strong will and mysterious 'know-it-all' condition, she is just as bad-ass as Allison was. She can force her voice to have physical impact using her hands, her scream can kill; It can shatter someone's skull. She can predict death, and is a major surviving character who has played a huge part through out the entire series. I really love her, she is simply fantastic.

Lydia is the best character by far! Her character development shone the most throughout the series and she deserves to be number 1 on this list. Ive never seen such a detailed character.Also Holland is a phenomenal actress! You can see the emotion she puts into portraying Lydia and one of the best actresses/actors on the show! One of the episode/s that shows her amazing acting skills is in season 5 when she is in Eichen House. She acted from the heart and it felt so real!She is the strongest character in my opinion and is a queeen! She is independent and sassy and beautiful. Also her relationship with Stiles is one of he best Ive ever seen, they feed off of each others happiness and I was delighted when they FINALLY started their relationship! I just love Lydia so much!

Lydia, in my personal opinion is the strongest character on the strong, not physically, but mentally and emotionally. She went from being a bitch that selected few liked, to a strong, caring, badass who plays a vital role in the pack. She always manages to pull herself back, even when she faces things that no person should have to face like; the loss of her best friend, almost being killed, twice might I add (by Peter and Jennifer Blake). Without her and her Banshee abilities, the pack would have been stumped on countless occasions. Not only is she brave and intelligent but she also says some of the best quotes from the show like "not all monsters so monstrous things" and my favourite quote from the show "what the hell is a stiles? " This is just my own personal opinion as to why I think Lydia should be further up this list.

I hated her. I hated her for almost four seasons.(Unless she was dating Jackson than she was great. Yes I ship Jydia.) Finally though I like her. I first began to like her after her quite "Not all monsters do monsterous things." I mean thank you. That quote has to be on a poster of some sort. She isn't my favorite character but ever since that episode... I feel like we should be friends. We would actually be great friends.

Lydia is my favorite female character on Teen Wolf. I used to ship her and Stiles SO hard... still do, actually, but I can see that it's a lost cause. She's got Parrish, he's got Malia: it's not happening. I wish she was still as spunky as she was in the first few seasons, but she's grown a lot over the years, and gained a lot of fearlessness; thankfully, though, she's still super sassy! I love her!

Lydia is such an amazing strong character she has gone through so much being brutally attacked by Peter triggering her banshee abilities which made her think she was going insane which then resulted in her having a breakdown and running around the woods naked for two days, thinking Jackson was dead, having to put up with voices in her head constantly, seeing her best friend killed right in front of her and not being to do anything about it, then Aiden dies, Jennifer trying to strangle her to death and yet she still keeps going she's never once played the victim she's strong and is always there for her friends even when she's going through her own personal hell and Lydia without a doubt has had the best character development out of any other teen wolf character she went from spoilt bitchy mean girl queen bee to strong protective caring badass Lydia.

It took 4 seasons but I finally am warming up to her. I hated (except when she and Jackson had their moments but after he left) her until that episode where she said "Not all monsters do monsterous thing." Now I like her. I like her a lot. If you get that reference high five.
