I do not have Dissociative Identity Disorder, but I do have a disorder (I'm autistic). Before Mike made his debut in Season Four, I felt like there wasn't a character that I could really identify with and say "he/she thinks like I do." But all of that changed when Mike revealed that he had Multiple Personality Disorder. I instantly thought 'ERMAGHERD A CHARACTER THAT I CAN IDENTIFY WITH YAY! ' And before you say that autism and DID are completely different things (which they are), remember that there weren't any contestants with a mental condition. I think I've probably proved my point here.

Mike used to be my favorite character, but I realized that despite his multiple personalities, Mike himself has absolutely zero personality. I guess I was touched by his other personalities instead of him. He's still an amazing character, but he is kind of overrated. I know I might sound like a jerk for hating on the only one with DID in the series, but once you get past the fact that he has an incredibly rare condition, he's pretty bland.

People who call Mike offensive would not know what research was if it punched them in their ignorant heads. I actually looked at quite a bit of stuff and Fresh got a lot of things right about the actual disorder. Also people with MPD/DID love him. Yes the reset button was garbage, but it's like learning there is gold at the bottom of a filled outhouse pit. Because the merging of alternate personalities into the host personality is a very real treatment.

Dude we can hate on Mike if we want. This argument isn't all about you it's about Mike! I'm not saying that you are telling us we can't say bad things about him but every character gets hate! I love Total Drama. You can't stop me from watching it. I know people WITH mental disorders who are offended by Mike. There are people with mental disorders on T.V.. I like those characters, but there disorder was portrayed correctly. Also, so what if it's a cartoon. You should be able to portray a mental disorder right. I think there SHOULD be people with mental disorders on T.V.. But not shown the wrong way.Also, he is a screen hog. In TDAS, it was all about Mike, Mike, Mike!

To be honest, I don't like him anymore after All-Stars, he wasn't there halfway throughout the season, and just really bland, Mike is a best definition of overrated, offensive, and a mary-sue, like god, can the writers develop this guy, I'm guessing no, due to All-Stars.

Mike is offensive to anyone with a mental disorder. he got rid of it! That can't happen in real life! Mike stinks. He is offensive! MPD is real and is caused by traumatic things like sexual abuse. The show portrayed his condition for comedy! Mike stinks and should not exist.

You are straight up stupid. Being nice does NOT automatically make you a good character, Mike is the most bland, overused, screenhogs in the series. He is so uninteresting, and such a mary sue. Nobody cares about his mental disorder, he's a horrible character.
