There's too much pornographic art everywhere if you try to browse most popular, most of the inappropriate art also shows up even though you don't have mature content on. Overall, DeviantArt was made for where artists can enjoy their work and share it with others, it is ruined by the people who post inappropriate stuff.

I am a member, but it's really hard to get known unless you're a really good digital artist, can draw decent fanart and create NSFW fetish stuff (because who DOESN'T like porn?! ). I also hate getting lumped in with 10 and 11 year olds who can't even draw. I'm not saying that you have to have perfect art to submit, nobody's perfect, but it just seems that way most of the time.
