I'm hesitant to even say that Sonic has a fanbase because the "fans" throw more hate on the Blue Blur than the haters. Every fanbase is gonna have more than its share of creepy fanart and mary-sue OC's, but only the hardcore Sonic fanbase is so entitled that they spend more time complaining about Sonic games not being made exactly like they want than they do actually playing the games. The "fans" of Sonic are repulsed at the very notion that characters other than Sonic himself and, on very rare occasion, Shadow, Blaze, and maybe Knuckles even exist. They reject the idea that a Sonic game released on a system with a name other than 'Sega Genesis' has the capacity to be good on any way. They ignore anything positive and only focus on what they don't like. Ironic that "fans" try to paint the series as a burning cesspit of trash when they themselves are more than fitting of that description.

I like Sonic games since day one, but the Sonic fanbase is easily the worst fanbase of any video game. Let's see...1. Minecraft is actually awesome. It's the 11-year olds (sadly roughly 50%) that ruin the game. I wish more adults would play it.Call of Duty is a noob game. Counter Strike (Global Offensive) is for real men. The only reason I didn't vote it is cause it's already #1.And FNaF is a great franchise with a great story and mystery factor to it. FNaF deserves nothing of its hate. Not sure about the fans however. They don't annoy me except for the fact that they can't come up with decent theories, and that they milk it.SONIC HOWEVER:...is completely wasted potential. They could have stopped after the first three games. Now Sonic is a furry celebrity, who is arrogant and cocky, and inspires autistic people to draw disturbing fanart of made up sonic themed furries. I was, am, and will never be a furry fan, and I believe a lot of people agree wirh this. Gay marriage? Fine. Anthro fetish? GTFO.

Actually most sonic fans are normal dudes/girls, the sonic fanbase is considered so bad because of some specific persons and people are dumb enough to think all Sonic fans are like that, I mean what man, it's like saying all of my class mates are awful because one or two of them are extremely annoying. Also, in every fanbase it's like that, you can't just look at the bad part of it and say it's entirely terrible. I love Sonic games, but I will never, ever take the fanbases. I'm talking about SonAmy, Shadouge, and all that fanfiction. They are one of the worst people, and it makes me sad that this hedgehog and his friends are turning into some disgusting, perverted, Rule 34 and Deviantart fanfic.
