Kaede is a genuine and nice character who would do anything for her friends as conveyed in her actions in the first chapter. She didn't wish to kill Rantaro but to kill the mastermind and end the killing game. I really like her!

She was so kind and put others before her. The only reason she got blood on her hands was for everyone else sake, she didn't do it for the freebie. And when the mastermind wasn't revealed she accepted her fate, and was, and always will be, the best protagonist to me. I Absolutely love her

I always got love for Kaede Akamatsu. Would have loved if she stuck around a little longer, but she still proved herself to be an entitlement of strength and hope. Kaede displayed a wonderful new essence of someone who approaches a killing game headstrong and doesn't hold back until she resolves it. I admire her leadership skills so much, I constantly think how it would've been like if her and Shuichi stuck with each other throughout the game. If they did, they would be unstoppable together and perhaps be called upon the best duo in Danganronpa. Personally, I already consider them to be. Aside from another duo that is a pretty great force to be reckoned with. Kaede Akamatsu: amazing female protagonist, love her to bits, and no better girl than the best girl.

I loved her so much :(. I was so excited to have a female protag... she seemed way more interesting than makoto and hajime, in my opinion. she actually had a talent, and an interesting backstory to go with that. hajime and makoto seemed.. bland? I just prefer her over them.

Such a sweet girl! Shes easily one of the best characters in Danganronpa! Even in the first chapter when nobody knew each other that well, she still gave it her all in order to protect her friends by killing the mastermind. In the class trial, she stood her ground until she finally gave up and admitted that she killed Rantaro. Shes sorta like Chiaki, she pushed Shuichi to give the clues that she was the killer. She also left a will like Chiaki, she also loved her friends like Chiaki. Easily the best characters the the charcterters who love their friends so much that theyd sacrifice their lives in order to save them.
