Its really kind of funny how ignorant most commenters are.This song is probably the most famous song in the history of France.It roughly translates as "Looking at life through rose-colored glasses", and was extremely popular in the post-World War 2 1940's, basically by people who had lost everything but at least finally had peace.Its SUPPOSED to be melancholy and downbeat, its not a dance song.
