I'm originally from California and when I first found out that I would be moving here a few years ago I was dreading it... I thought that everybody here would be hicks or Bible thumpers but it turned out that everyone is SO WONDERFUL! People here never walk past you without a hello and how are you doing? They always invite you over to "eat somethin' good" and the food is amazing. I miss Cali but I definitely don't mind staying in this sweet friendly place. And no not everyone is stupid here like most outsiders would think, in fact almost everyone I know is well educated

I have met some very nice people and then I have met many others that have called me a yankee just because I moved here from another state and others that have asked me if I'm even a real Christian since I'm from one of those Northern States. I originally thought everyone was so nice until I started noticing people be nice in front of their "friends" and then talk nasty about them the second they left...oh yes and "Bless Your Heart" not nice at all...It is a beautiful state though and if you can stay around the decent people and don't let the other ones get to you then you will be ok...

I live in East Tennessee about 45 minutes outside of Sevierville. I was born here and raised here. I love this state. I always try my best to be friendly and courteous to everyone I come in contact with. That's how I was raised. I encourage to come and visit us. We love to entertain.

I have lived in Florida, Alabama and now Tennessee. I HATE Tennessee! The people here are so very different from what I used to and will be super nice to your face then stab you in the back. If I had my way I would move back to Alabama in a heartbeat.

From Kentucky. Living in northern Alabama. My trips to Tennessee have been met with consistent kindness and genuine Southern hospitality. Seriously well mannered people. Nashville is the friendliest city you'll ever find.

I have lived in Tennessee my entire life and I can say that most of the people here are really kind and wonderful, no matter what city you go to. Nashville, Knoxville, etcetera, they all have mostly nice people.

I live in Tennessee, been raised here all my life, and every one here is nice. One of the main reasons is because the majority of us are Christians(including me, and all my family) so we are always nice, and also we've been raised right.

不是開玩笑，任何一個討厭這個州的人都是瘋子，我去過田納西州很多次，但我不記得有人沒有為人們特別是老人開門，不禮貌，不與他人友好交談

No Joke, any one who hates this state is crazy, I have been to Tennessee many times, and yet I don't remember anytime when someone has not held a door open for people (especially elders), not use manners and not had nice friendly conversations with others.
