Indiana is a mixed bag of people depending on where you go you will either love it or hate it. Possitive things are nice people, great craft beer scene, affordable housing and the downtown area is getting better every year. Negitive things some people definitely have the "hick" culture down and they live by it, we do have a bit of a meth and heroin problem but those people tend to stay away from the populated areas, amd ithe downtown area is surrounded by ghettos but over all I don't mind it here

I just moved from Indiana to Florida. I grew up in Michigan. As far as friendly goes both of them states are way more friendly than Florida. The dismissive attitude in Florida I could live with out. The weather makes up for it.

I hate living in Indiana. When I first got here, I used the last of the minutes on my phone to call up the Colliseum Inn in Fort Wayne and ask if they had a weekly room available. They said they did, so I said I was on my way. I took an Uber there and by the time I arrived (less than an hour) they had already rented it. I asked if I could use the phone to call another motel to find another weekly rate I could afford because my phone didn't have any more minutes. They refused and closed the glass door on me. I went next door to a pawn shop and begged people to let me use their phone to find a motel. It was late, it was freezing outside and I just wanted to go to sleep. But I only had a limited amount of money and had to find a place for a week for the amount of money I had. I asked 14 people and they all refused.
