I've lived in West Virginia for most of my life---briefly in Virginia and Delaware. It's been my experience to hear from many that have moved into our state that the people of West Virginia are amazingly friendly. As a teacher, when new students arrived, they felt quite welcome. We are very friendly, and we're there for our neighbors! We should be number 1!

I lived in West Virginia my whole life, everyone here is as kind as can be. The only complaint I have is we have a huge drug problem that we need fixed. The drug problem is West Virginia puts a shame on our community. But back to what I said before West Virginia has a lot of kind warm-hearted people

My experience has been WV residents are some of the nicest, friendliest, most helpful people in the USA. I once broke down in a country type setting and I had multiple people stopping to help, offer me money, and jump my vehicle. Ive never been scared when visiting this state and everyone Ive met seems to look out for each other. In addition, I feel WV residents are deeply passionate about where they live/their home state of West By God Virginia. Amen!

Coming from Pa and going into West Virginia, As soon as your in WV you'd swear your in another country with the friendliest people around. Pennsylvania people are rude and not polite. I'll take WV any day. WV should be #1.
