You know I was about to talk about collect-a-thons if you saw my list about bad game design. Basically, collect-a-thon is my favorite video game genre. I like them even more than classic plateforming games, and turn based RPGs, which if you know me, and the games that I like, you know that I like quite a lot. And when I say collect-a-thon, I'm talking about real collect-a-thons, and not games like Mario Sunshine or A Hat in Time. Don't get me wrong, I do not say that those games are bad for not being one (in fact A Hat in Time is one of my FGOATs), but that they are not collect-a-thons for my criterias.So why is it my favorite genre? Well, it's because collect-a-thons are games that makes you want to explore every corner to search for everything and 100% those games. They also let you collect things in the order you want, making for great replay value.
