I was born and raised in the USA, but I am a pure Filipino. I excelled in basketball by athleticsm, hard work, and passion but then you realize that HEIGHT is way too important. Our DNA is not built for success in basketball! We know this already, but there are too many dreamers. The ceiling is too short. It is genetically rigged for European ancestry, Blacks, and tall asian countries like China. Its a tough pill to swallow, but it will always be true. There are tall Filipinos, obviously, but this is not the norm and only time will tell. In football/soccer, size doesnt matter NEARLY as much. It really is much much more than physical attributes. Passion, understanding, and skill outweigh physicality clearly. We know this because of successful players in the world like Lionel Messi. It is the beautiful game. I would love to see Filipinos grow in the sport, domestically and internationally!

Well this sport will be number 1 If Spain have colonized us longer because Spain's national sport is football well I respect basketball because its really good too but the difference of football basketball is you don't have to be tall to have the advantage if they play football maybe they'll love it.

Everyone should play football. Accept it; height matters, basketball is only for tall people. Football doesn't require height, its pure skill. It is fun and we Filipinos have the potential to be known for Football.
