I think cats are the easiest to take care of, yet you still have to give them lots of care and love. Something that makes me think why people don't vote for them is the litter, but as well you have to clean it but so do you have to with almost every pet. Cats should be No. 1. If you want a pet that's easy to care for but with whom you can still share unlimited affection, go for cats. My cat practically looks after himself. Till I was three I hated cats. But when I shifted in my new house I found a small kitten just roaming around. My mother is a very animal friendly person and she just started playing with the kitten. Then slowly I became more friendly with her. In a few months she gave birth to more kittens. Many started living with the neighbors or just roaming around the colony. My cat had kittens for about 9 years and last year my cat died. I was heartbroken but she left a lot of her children with me and they gave birth to more kittens. People say cats dont show love but they do. All you have to do is give them a chance. They are also very easy to take care of. My family is very busy all the time. We barely needed to take of the cats. All we did was feed them in the morning and in the evening and when we wanted to play they were always ready. When we wanted alone time they gave it to us. Most cats aren't really people friendly. They depend on you for food and some affection. Some cats live alone others with groups. My little colony is five strong and I have four females and ONE male. With many animals you shouldn't get multiple males with females, two males alone is fine. Cats can be dangerous if not raised properly. They are a lot of work with litter, food and keeping in line. I love my five but cats are definitely a commitment. Think before you buy, OR BETTER YET, adopt!

I love cats, I have one cat and he's a mix breed of a British Short Hair and a Manx cat. Cats are probably the most easiest pets to take care of; just get some cat litter and a box and bits of fish or meat and that's it! You can hang out with your cat all day, everyday and never get bored, especially when you have a kitten, they're very active and cute. Though, they have to sleep for a long time and many times a day. I love my fur babies! I am 55 and have had cats in my life since I was 19, two of them living until they were 20. The two I have now are 15 14 and they are pretty self sufficient when I leave plenty of food, water and a clean litter box. When I was a little girl, I was allergic to cats and having asthma for most of my life, it's pretty incredible that I am not affected by their dander. I can't imagine my life without a little bundle of furry love.

Cats should be in first place. All you literally do is feed them and change their litter. Just be an animal is caged or tanked does NOT mean it's easier to care for. I'd know, since I had a cat, fish, and rabbits, and the cat was BY FAR easiest to care for. I was doing literally 5x the work caring for one rabbit vs. Caring for my one cat.

I love cats... I know they are the easiest pet simply because, they can essentially care for themselves.. Yes you feed water and clean litter after them, but not if they're outdoor or barn cats. I have had many and still have one cat. They are very individual and easy to care for. Cheaper to care for comparably to other pets.
