I don't hate very many books. But these were SO BADLY WRITTEN I cannot stress enough to NOT READ THEM IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY. They skip over talking about the interesting society they live in in order to talk about the love story between two of the most BORING character I've ever seen in literature. You've got the classic teenage girl who finds out she's "special" trope, who has no character development and who's only personality trait is being the stereotypical "selfless hero", you've got the love interest who's only there to be the love interest, and you've got the protagonist's friends who are so unmemorable I can't even remember their names. There are three books, and instead of using the third book to expand on the universe and go more in-depth about the world the author has created after the main enemy has been dealt with, or even creating SOME CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, the author chose to start a whole NEW plot that didn't make any sense just to stretch it out. Wow, The Hunger Games is number 1? That's RIDICULOUS! I read the entire trilogy and I hated it! The characters were bland (If developed at all), the villain was not threatening, and the entire premise was a blatant rip-off of the much better written Battle Royale! Divergent on the other hand is a far more realistic take on a dystopian future with great characters. Tris is extremely likeable and you root for her because she you know she's a great person. The only reason you'd ever root for Katniss is because you're pretty much forced to, considering Collins doesn't develop any other characters. Also, Divergent doesn't have a stupid love triangle like THG. There's one love interest for Tris (Four) and he's much more charismatic than both Peeta and Gale combined. Best of all, Divergent is ORIGINAL! THG plagiarized Battle Royale. Seriously, if you liked the Hunger Games, PLEASE, do yourself a favor and read Battle Royale. Don't judge it because it's Japanese. A teenage girl rises up and start a rebellion to take down the evil dictator and "find out who she is" along the way. Divergent is a badly written rip-off of The Hunger Games. If you're going to read one, read the Hunger Games, it's fantastic. Divergent was terrible.

WOW divergent trilogy was good but did Veronica Roth really had to kill Tris in the end I mean that's ridiculous she didn't think twice. that's thrilling she says. I love tris but The Hunger Games and Harry Potter series are the best. The characters are awesome DIVERGENT also had greatt characters especially Tris she became my first favorite but the ending was horrifying :(. I LOVE DIVERGENT BOOKS BUT ALLEGIANT although was a great book although the ending didn't make me happy. That's my point of view don't go crazy over it and I love the movie too it was AMAZINGGG!

This book is so amazing, it changed my life forever. I read it in 1/2 a day and am still thinking about how thrilling, shocking, romantic, heart-breakingly sad and dramatic the ending was! A must read for any Hunger Games, Twilight and Harry Potter fans. 2014 film, come on!

How is this not at least ten. I thought nothing can beat the hunger games until I read this. To be honest I haven't read Harry potter. But this should be at least number 10

The most beautiful book about a dystopian world by Veronica Roth. I completely love the way she wrote it with power, with deep insights of us, humans', nature. The best book I've seen in a long, long time.
